Lions Innovation Tour Silicon Valley

Lions Innovation Tour Silicon Valley

After winning Demo Africa in Morocco (click here to read more about it), HawKar was invited, among the 4 winning Lions, by Lions@frica and it’s Managing Partner, the African Technology Foundation, to be part of the Silicon Valley Innovation Tour 2019 that took place from the 24th of May to the 2nd of June.

This Tour is focused on knowledge, sharing and networking opportunities that will generate deeper engagements between us and the leading Silicon Valley.

HawKar participated in a series of events across the Silicon Valley ecosystem, including San Jose, San Francisco and Palo Alto, California, and we had multiple opportunities to pitch our product and technology to industry leaders and expert panels!

In this article, we will list the highlights of the Tour…

May 26

HawKar went to 500 Startups.

May 28

HawKar had a visit to Tesla HQ to see the manufacture and the supply chain with its current VP Manufacturing, who proposed to explore how Tesla can help!

HawKar was also at the Reed Smith office, a global law firm dedicated to helping clients move their businesses forward.

May 29

HawKar was welcomed to Nvidia by its Inception Partner Account Manager and its External Technical Product Manager, where we’ve seen one of their self-driving test prototypes with sensors, an Nvidia drive car technology to teach self-driving cars to see, think, and learn…

HawKar was also Guest of the Google Talks with the Google Next Billion Users team, at Google. We spoke about our Startup, our experience, we interacted with the present people, answered their questions and exchanged with them.

May 30

We were invited to speak at a panel at INSEEC in San Francisco where a lot of students and professionals, like the Global Business Process Outsourcing Manager of Uber, came to network and connect with us!

May 29 – 31

HawKar had the opportunity to attend the Boldline SV Summit of the Department of State’s Office of Global Partnerships. An accelerator designed to support and scale public-private collaborations that aim to solve global challenges.

We received during these days tons of resources and enjoyed a one of a kind Mastermind.

Thank You to all of the Tour partners and stakeholders, each and everyone who invited us and came to meet us.

Thank you to Lions@frica, the African Technology Foundation, the Boldline Accelerator, and the US State Department.

We had a memorable experience that opened doors for new future collaborations thanks to you all!
